FEES
The
entry fee is $25 for each entry, no limit on number of entries.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
For sculptural or three-dimensional
pieces, 2 images may be submitted for each work. Artists may submit
8x10 (maximum size) photos, or digital files (preferred). Please do not send
originals. For the best chance of being accepted, artists are
encouraged to submit high-quality images that are well-photographed
with evenly distributed lighting and accurate color.

DIGITAL FILES
We
prefer horizontal images to have a width of no less than 800 pixels,
and vertical images to have a height of no less than 625 pixels.
Otherwise, the images will be too small to provide enough detail for
the juror. Save the images with as little compression as possible while
maintaining a file size less than 2 MB. We will resize the images for
display on the Internet. Images must be MacIntosh compatible and saved
in the JPEG or TIFF file format (with a .jpg or .tif extension). File
names should not have spaces, punctuation marks, or non-English
characters. File names should read as follows:
example: titleofwork_artistname.jpg
Digital
images are assumed to be accurate representations of the entrant’s
original artworks. Artwork that differs markedly from the submitted
image will be disqualified.
ELIGIBILITY
The
competition is open to all artists 18 or older. Publishers, galleries, agents, and
collectors may not submit artwork on behalf of artists.
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
Art
must be original and completed in the last two years. Digital
reproductions, giclee, Iris, or inkjet copies will not be accepted. No
works containing live plants, perishable items, or requiring any
maintenance will be accepted. Artwork may not exceed 5 feet in any
direction or weigh more than 100 pounds. Artwork must be ready for
installation with accompanying hardware. Site-Specific and Wearable art
is not eligible. Any work considered unsafe is not acceptable. The
Juror’s decision is final. No substitutions will be permitted.
SHIPPING
Accepted
works may be hand-delivered or shipped prepaid. Please allow two weeks
for return shipment from close of exhibition. Specific shipping
instructions will be included in the acceptance
email.
CONDITIONS
daniael fine art gallery will take every precaution to ensure the safe handling
of all accepted artworks, but cannot assume liability for any loss or
damage caused by shipping or hand-delivery of artwork. It is the
responsibility of the artist to provide adequate insurance coverage
during shipment. daniael fine art gallery will insure artwork only
while exhibited or stored on the daniael fine art gallery premises not in
transit. By entering the competition,artists grant daniael fine art gallery
permission to photograph their
artwork for publicity and
educational purposes. Accepted works must remain on exhibit through Dec 21 2008. Artists should include a sales price for each entry. Fifty
percent (50%) of each sale will go to daniael fine art gallery. If a work is NOT
for sale, please mark NFS, but you must indicate a value for insurance
purposes. Your submission for jurying into this exhibition constitutes
agreement to all conditions set forth in this prospectus.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
To
avoid conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest,
employees (without limitation) of daniael fine art gallery, exhibition
sponsors and immediate family, and other household members of each of
the above are NOT eligible to enter.
