Downtowner Film Festival is the ONLY Indie Film Event in the South Metro Area.
We will feature local and national independent films. Meet local filmmakers and indie buffs and enjoy fantastic short and feature length films.
We will enjoy a wine tasting between films and all the popcorn you can eat!
Please donate $10.00 at the door. Must be 21 with ID to sample wine.

The departure of Cydney Payton, soon to be former director of Denver’s Museum of Contemporary Art, from the metro area’s institutional mix carries with it equal parts portent and reflection. Her airy yet substantial style — in both the art she championed and the spacious exhibition design she favored (with the possible exception of her dual swan songs, the “Decades of Influence” show and its “extended remix”) — says a lot about what Denver could bear aesthetically and about her willingness to constantly test the waters of audience appreciation and reception. For centuries, the art market has centered on the buying and selling of discrete objects, from paintings and sculptures to functional vessels and, relatively recently, photographs. Barring fraud, forgeries and physical damage, buying art was a clean transaction. The artist still got credit for making the object, but the collector owned it. Nuance entered the picture as the market itself gained sophistication, breadth and cultural cachet.
